Dehydrated

Give your pet the gift of longevity by incorporating real food into their diet. Our single-ingredient, gently air-dried turkey breasts are packed with the protein that your pet needs to thrive. Can be fed as a meal topper or as a treat. Rehydrate the treats in warm water for 2-3 minutes to create softer, meatier treats.

The Nitty Gritty Details

+
Raw turkey breasts are gently air-dried for 48-120 hours at 125F. This process mimics sun-drying. The big benefit of air drying is that it naturally preserves the meat in its raw state and prevents any damage or change of the protein. And that means full nutrition is passed to your furry friend.

There are no added ingredients. It's 100% turkey breast. The air drying process removes all moisture, making the final product shelf stable (even without preservatives)!

Great for mental enrichment, a meal topper, or a special treat for training!

Introduce slowly. You can serve turkey breast right out of the bag whole or tear into pieces or sprinkle over your pup’s meal for an extra kick of flavor and protein. Rehydrate the treats in warm water for 2-3 minutes to create softer, meatier treats.

PS: This is one of favorite nutrient-rich garnishes for pup cupcakes!

Why should I feed Turkey Breast?
Turkey breast provides the highest amount of protein for the least number of calories. It is super lean and high in niacin, vitamin B6, and tryptophan, essential for repairing tissues and cells. Here are 6 reasons to feed your furry friend turkey breast:
  • Vitamin B6 - improves red blood cell, nervous system, and immune health
  • Vitamin B12 - regulates the nervous system, reduces depression and stress
  • Zinc - benefits the skin and prevents dandruff
  • Choline - regulates memory, mood, and muscle control
  • Selenium - vital for nervous system and thyroid health
  • Niacin - contributes to healthy skin and circulation
Since they were raw before drying, is bacteria an issue?
There is more of a risk for bacteria in fresh fruit and vegetables than there is in quality, fresh pet food. The canine’s gastrointestinal tract is designed to prevent pathogenic bacteria such as salmonella and e. coli from entering and affecting the intestinal tract. The dog’s digestive tract has digestive enzymes that neutralize bacteria and also has a highly acidic stomach that kills any residual bacteria entering the gut. Dogs in generally good health are not affected by bacterial pathogens and rarely get sick from them. They can however pass on pathogenic bacteria through their stool, so we advise you to wash your hands frequently when handling feces or raw foods.
+
Air-dried treats and chews do not require refrigeration. Simply store in a cool, dry place between 30 and 60 days. In between chew sessions, you can store the chew on a paper plate and place it in your freezer. Do not wrap chews up and store as it will cause moisture buildup.
+
The turkeys were not grown on our farm. Real Dog purchases them from the farms they work with. Because of this, we don't have detailed information about the growing practices.
