Lard (rendered pork fat) is a fantastic and versatile cooking fat. It can be used for high temperature frying, making pastries and baked goods, greasing a pan, roasting, sautéing... well. basically anything a fat would be used for!
This lard is made from all parts of the animal and is processed with dry heat.
Lard lasts a really long time. It can be kept at room temperature for 4-6 months, in the fridge for up to a year, and indefinitely in the freezer. Our lard is frozen.
