Bison Scapula Pet Chews, 5oz

Bison Scapula Pet Chews, 5oz

Dehydrated | 1 per pack

Enrich your dog's life with pure bison scapula. Since it has a strong smell, it makes a great game of scent hunt. Each piece has a bit of bone and collagen-rich cartilage for a healthy boost for your pup's joints. The blade shape will make for a challenging chew while cleaning all of those nooks and crannies in their teeth. Can also be used to make bone broth!

The Nitty Gritty Details

+
Raw bison scapula are gently air-dried for 48-120 hours at 125F. This process mimics sun-drying. The big benefit of air drying is that it naturally preserves the meat in its raw state and prevents any damage or change of the protein. And that means full nutrition is passed to your furry friend.

There are no added ingredients. It's 100% bison scapula. The air drying process removes all moisture, making the final product shelf stable (even without preservatives)!
+
Introduce slowly. Start with a 5 minute chew session and work your way up. Chewing is not recommended for longer than 15 minutes to avoid digestive upset.

If your pup doesn't make it to the bone, no worries, you can save for later or use for a homemade bone broth.

If your dog has poor dental health (which is more common with senior dogs), they may have trouble. If this is the case, you can soften these chews by soaking in warm water before feeding.

What are bison scapula?
The scapula, or shoulder blade, is a wing-shaped piece of cartilage and bone that connects the front limbs to the torso.

Can my dog eat Bison Scapula?

It’s rare that a dog cannot consume bison scapula. However, if your dog is a gulper, they must learn how to properly chew bone-in foods to avoid swallowing too quickly and regurgitating this food. Senior dogs with poor dental health may have trouble with these as well, but you can soften these chews by soaking in warm water before feeding.

Why should I feed bison scapula?
Each piece has a bit of bone and collagen-rich cartilage for a healthy boost for your pup's joints! The blade shape will make for a challenging chew while getting all of those teeth nooks and crannies!

4 Reasons to Feed Bison Scapula
Calcium - healthy teeth and bones
Phosphorus - healthy teeth and bones
Chondroitin - maintains healthy joints
Glucosamine - maintains healthy joints

Can dogs have Bison Scapula allergies?
That would be incredibly rare. Even if your dog has say, a beef allergy, your dog won't show allergic reactions to bison (unless they are allergic to bison meat) because cow and bison are different animals.
+
Air-dried treats and chews do not require refrigeration. Simply store in a cool, dry place between 30 and 60 days. In between chew sessions, you can store the chew on a paper plate and place it in your freezer. Do not wrap chews up and store as it will cause moisture buildup.
+
The bison were not grown on our farm. Real Dog purchases them from the farms they work with. Because of this, we don't have detailed information about the growing practices.
